One of the most anticipated movies of the decade, Marvel’s Avengers Endgame has finally achieved another milestone by collecting $2 billion in its two weeks of theatrical run making it the fastest movie to surpass $2 billion milestone.
Endgame has shattered almost every box office record just not even in the US but everywhere around the globe. The final installment of Avengers collected $1.2B during its opening weekend breaking the record of the biggest opening weekend collection of Star Wars: The Force Awakens which collected just half the amount of Endgame.
While breaking the record of fastest $2 billion collection Endgame surpassed the total box office collections of its own predecessor Avengers: Infinity War, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Titanic.
The only record left is to beat the lifetime collection of Cameron’s Avatar which collected a total of $2.7 billion till date and it seems to an easy task for Endgame since it’s looking unstoppable over the box office and we might even see it surpassing Avatar by it’s the third weekend.
Avengers Endgame is Marvel’s 22nd movie and an ending to its 22 movie arc known as Infinity Saga which started with 2008’s unexpected blockbuster Iron Man and wrapping 3 phases with it’s 22 movies making it one of the biggest movie franchise and Marvel is not done yet as its 4th phase will kick off soon with Spiderman Far From Home, coming this summer with at least another 20 movies planned for next decade in which a Black Widow solo film and GOG’s 3rd installment is confirmed as of now.
