Ross Perot, the billionaire and the former presidential candidate takes his last breath in his house at Dallas, in the presence of his family. Perot was suffering from leukaemia since last 5 years and finally was dead on Tuesday. He was 89.
fOne of the family members of Perot said, “In business and in life, Ross was a man of integrity and action.” Further added, “A true American patriot and a man of rare vision, principle and deep compassion, he touched the lives of countless people through his unwavering support of the military and veterans and through his charitable endeavours.”
Perot participated in two presidential campaigns in 1992 and 1996, as a third party candidate. In 1992, he got into elections against George H.W.Bush and Bill Clinton as an independent candidate. He won around 20% votes which were indeed great for an independent candidate to achieve.
On Perot’s death, George Bush made a statement, “Texas and America have lost a strong patriot. Ross Perot epitomized the entrepreneurial spirit and the American creed.” Indeed, America will miss this great soul forever in the economy and humanity.

Ross loved his family which had his wife, 5 children and 16 grandchildren. He was born in Texarkana, Texas and entered U.S. Naval in 1949. In his obituary, Perot said, “I had never seen the ocean, and I had never seen a ship- but I knew I wanted to go to a Naval Academy.”
After the job in navy, Perot was offered a job at IBM and there he had proved his skills as a salesman and sold many computers for the company. He then realized, the clients to whom he was selling the computers didn’t really know how to use it. He took this as a business opportunity for himself.
To make this opportunity a business, Ross started on his own with $1000 savings which he earned from selling computers. He became the founder of Electronic Data Systems and the Perot Systems. His success stories don’t really end. He was also honoured with 19 doctorates and awarded many awards during his life.
Of course, Texas and America are mourning for the big loss of an entrepreneur and a philanthropist. The billionaire shall be lived by his family.
