Trump twitted “The biggest subject today at the event shall be the tremendous dishonesty, bias, discrimination and suppression practiced by certain companies. We will not let them get away with it much longer. The Fake News Media will also be there, but for a limited period.”

The event is to be held today i.e. Thursday at the White House. President has not issued any public notice for attendees at the Summit. He has simply forwarded invites over Twitter. The personalities from right-wing internet have been invited for the meeting.

Following are a few invitees at the conference:

  • Bill Mitchell- a Radio Host (promoter of extremist QAnon conspiracy theory on Twitter)
  • Ali Alexander- a right-wing operative (defamed Sen. Kamala Harris by saying she is not an “American Black” post first democratic presidential debates)
  • Carpe Donktum- pro-memes creator
  • Jim Hoft- the blogger (blogs at Gateway Pundit and frequently promotes hoaxes).
  • Representatives from campus conservative group Turning Point USA and conservative YouTube channels PragerU.

In one of the Instagram posts, Benny Johnson, the executive at Turning Point has promised Trump to give him “dank meme ideas”.

The invitee group does not include anyone who has been banned from major social platforms, even though those bans played a significant role in driving accusations on the right that social giants are biased. For instance, pro-trump figures like Laura Loomer, an anti-Muslim activist, Alex Jones, conspiracy theorist at InfoWars and Gavin McInnes, group founder of Proud Boys have not been invited.

Dan Scavino, a social media director at White House and Trump’s confidant and longtime aide have taken lead on forming agenda for summit and making a guest list for the event. He has also taken responsibility of keeping a check on work of many Trump-loving social media personalities and flag their work directly to President who generally responds with an amused smirk or chuckle.
